Treekillaz is an act made up by fourfriends from Biel in Switzerland back in 1998. The mail influencesfor these four Swiss is easy to recognize as they sound like aSeattle act. You can hear traces of Nirvana, Alice In Chains andPearl Jam but the band lack some of Alice In Chains dark atmosphereand Eddie Vedders mood. Instead they have added some melodic rockand pop influences. They made a cd demo and were signed to N-gagerecords for their debut album Oxygently in 2001. They were thenoffered a record deal with Warner Records but during the recordingof their second album the band leaves Warner because they are notwilling to follow the labels demand. Their second disc Indivaappears in 2002 and their third album Leaving Last is recorded inStockholm with Jocke Skog of Clawfinger. Their 2008 cover album InBed With Friends features amongst others Zak Tell of Clawfinger andtheir 2010 album Season Of The Lonesome are produced by formerCoroner and Kreator guitarist Tommy Vetterli, who gives the albuman extremely powerful sound. So if you miss those early 90s daythen check out Treekillaz because grunge is back.
