These are black leather safety shoes with a lace-up closure and steel toe caps. They have a classic design and are in excellent condition.
These shoes were part of my uniform, but they belonged to the gala suit, which I hardly ever wore. So the shoes were hardly ever used either. You can see from the photos that they are in fine condition, even though they were produced in 2004, as they have been neatly stored at the bottom of my wardrobe all this time. And since I won't be wearing them anymore, and chucking them in the bin is such a waste, I now put them up for auction.
They are more elegant and slimmer in real life than photo 1 suggests - see photo 2. They are just really smart shoes. They are also safety shoes, so they have steel toe caps.
I think the ‘supervisor’ model is no longer made at Gerba, but it seems to have been succeeded by the ‘manager’ model. Those cost around €100 new (around SEK 1150) and those are Brogues (with little holes), while these are Derbies (with a smooth finish). Also, the ‘manager’ model is classified as safety class S1, while these shoes are safety class S3. They are, in short, better.
Comparable shoes from other brands are considerably more expensive: Haix Office cost around €120 excl. VAT (around SEK 1375); Emma Trento cost €145 excl. VAT (around SEK 1650).
I will be shipping these from the Netherlands, which will add quite a bit to the total. Given their weight, shipping to Sweden will cost €26, or around SEK 300. Therefore I have decided to start with a rather low starting price. I figure the shoes should be worth around €45 still, but I don't necessarily aim to earn that much. So if I'm getting the maths right: my advice is that you shouldn't bid higher than €19, because then you're just about spot on when including the cost of shipping.
I will not actively stop you from bidding higher though, obviously... ;-)
