The Symphony Desktop interface packs the legendary audio fidelity of Apogee’s rack-mount Symphony MKII into a compact, 10 x 14 USB audio interface. Utilising cutting-edge technology and components, the Symphony Desktop delivers flagship sound quality in one of Apogee’s most affordable units yet.

Pristine AD/DA converters for high-end audio performance
The Symphony Desktop audio interface provides you with high-end AD/DA converters, providing the best possible audio quality and performance. The analog-to-digital converter delivers a high slew rate and ultra-low distortion. This ensures the interface captures every nuance from your inputs, whether you are recording instruments or vocals. Employing cutting-edge technology, the converters delivers exceptional attention to detail resulting in the utmost sonic accuracy.

The digital-to-analog stage uses new and enhanced technology to deliver unparalleled DAC performance. You can easily adjust a wide range of settings, allowing you to access all the key features and parameters you will need. From preamp and plugin settings to speaker and headphone settings, the immersive touch screen interface eliminates the tediousness of complicated control panels.

Symphony microphone preamps deliver pro-grade sound quality
Accompanying the high-grade AD/DA converters are the custom microphone preamps. The exclusive preamp design delivers up to 75dB of gain, more than enough for recording any source. The product of Apogee’s unique Advanced Stepped Gain Architecture, the custom preamps provides ultra-low noise and distortion.

From recording powerful kick drums to capture the nuances of a fingerpicked acoustic guitar, the microphone preamps deliver the utmost accuracy at any level. Both the microphone and instruments inputs offer variable impedance settings for added flexibility.

Two headphone outputs – equipped with Dual Sum ESS DACsGet the mix right with these high-end headphone outputs. The Symphony Desktop also includes dual independent headphone outputs. The two headphone outs provides ultra-low impedance performance, equipped with dual-sum ESS DACs for exceptional audio fidelity.

The output power is automatically set to the expected type of headphones. The front-panel output can drive most headphones on the market. The rear panel output is reserved specifically for high-efficiency headphones.

Apogee Alloy Mic Preamps emulationsRecreate the sound of classic gear. The thing that sets Apogee apart from other audio interface manufacturers is their Apogee Alloy Mic Preamp (AMP) emulation technology. This custom tech provides you with DSP processing for the most authentic modelling available in an interface. The emulation profiles have been optimised to include critical model aspects such as input impedance, distortion characteristics, transient profiles and much more.

Included with the interface are two modelled emulations, capturing the warmth and tone of classic analog preamps with exceptional accuracy. The first is based on the classic Class A Neve 1066 mic preamps, providing the same sonic weight and smooth transient response that made the original preamps so sought after. Also included is an AX_601 mic preamps, capturing the larger-than-life sounds of the ‘60s era Ampex 601 preamp.
