Rare military dish 1st Kowno (modern Kaunas in Lithuania) Rifle Regiment of Russian army made by Riga fine porcelain manufacture of Kuznetsov. Substantial porcelain, handpainted in brown-red and gold. Usually the colors of the tableware were the same as the official colors of the regiment's dress uniform.

Kuznetsov porcelain is known for its high quality and historical significance, making it a sought-after collector's item. Especially, military porcelain that was produced in very small editions. It typically designed specifically for use in military settings, officers' mess halls, or for personal use by military officers.

This type of porcelain often features designs that reflect the military themes or symbols, such as regimental insignia, military crests, or scenes from military life. This dish is marked with symbols of this Regiment.

Russian Empire, Lithuania, end of 19th century - 1909. In 1910 this Regiment was renamed. Diameter 23 cm. Weight 1 kg. Excellent antique condition.
