Omen (USA) wasformed by guitarist Kenny Powell in 1983 and since the release oftheir debut album Battle Cry on Metal Blade Records have set thestandards for the genre, while Greek Battleroar, founded in 2000,are one of the most-valued and long-lasting active bands, releasing4 albums in 17 years of activity. This single feature twopreviously unreleased tracks, Omen's Up From The Deep andBattleroar's Stronghold. Omen's track sounds as if it was takendirectly from 1984's Battle Cry. War cries introduce the legendaryOmen sound, with Kenny Powell painting a majestic tapestry ofguitar notes above which Kevin Goocher delivers a brazen,complementary vocal performance. Battleroar's track is in the samestyle as the fastest and heaviest songs on their last album, BloodOf Legends. The song features a massive rhythmic punch to go alongwith great leads and Gerrit's classic, epic/melodic vocals.
