LonGubbs CD (Inplastad)

Longubbs, a new Swedish/Norwegian constellation. Two Swedish musicians, me and Anders Strömberg, both found our different ways to Arne Longum, a singer/songwriter from Norway. We found his heart-felt songs enormously inspiring, so we combined our resources and arranged his songs in a lot of different styles The result came out on this CD. It is some country, some blues, a somewhat happy jazz-bossa, and some other styles to. And of course, it is all based on Swedish 'visa', something like 'folk' but not really. Arne is sometimes compared to Gösta LInderholm, another Swedish singer/songwriter. Of course we are inspired from a lot of different sources, too many to mention, but we all have a great respect for Swedish songwriters like Evert Taube, and Cornelis Wreeswijk.
