The Watch
The Seamasters was launched in 1948 and have achieved worldwide fame for their rugged reliability. The Seamaster family had its origins in the watches supplied to the British Airforce during the second world war. In 1954, 50 cases equipped with O-ring gaskets were submitted to a succession of extremely severe tests, both in the factory and at the Swiss Laboratory for Watchmaking Reswarch. Each case perfectly resisted pressures of 6 kg/cm2 (corresponding to a depth of 60 metres) and temperatures from -40 C to +50 C, all without showing any trace of water infiltration or humidity.

The Condition
This 1959 Omega Seamaster is in a lovely condition!
Lets go directly to the most beautiful and uncommon for so old vintage watches - the crazy original dial and the lovely "pumpkin"-lume. The original ”alpha hands” also still got the original lume. Its fascinating what all the years can do to a vintage watch. The dial is 100% factory original dial and as you can see in an amazing condition.
The case has got some signs of wear and so do also the caseback with a super small classic ”watchmaker signatur”, it is hard to see in daylight but can be seen in some angles but is overall in a very good condition. Its hard to believe that this watch is over 60 years old.
The crown is original and so is also the crystal with the Omega symbol in centre.
