Accompanying the release of the Rui Hachimura x Air Jordan 36 “Global Game,” Jordan Brand and the Washington Wizards Small Forward put together the “Black Samurai” collection. Inspired by Rui Hachimura‘s Japanese roots, the special range builds on the player’s aesthetic sensibility with a sense of traditional flair.

Comprised of crewneck sweaters and T-shirts, the concise is marked by an array of graphics and details tied to Rui and his love of basketball. The Kanji-inspired logo featured prominently throughout the range was designed by his mother, honoring the family name and Rui’s spirit on the court. Additional detailing marks Rui’s ties to Jordan Brand, ever since he became the first Japanese player to be picked in Round 1 of the NBA draft and intense play style.
