The set on offer consists 25 sterling silver ingots (each 37.6mm x 24.9mm) in a wooden presentation box and preserving for all time some of the most treasured memories of the early Elizabethan years.

The ingots were sent monthly to the purchaser (my great aunt) over a 2 year period culminating with the destruction of the printing dies on 13/14 January 1981. The Silver Jubilee collection was issued by John Pinches Limited (now known as the Franklin Mint) from 30th June 1976.

This unique set is one of only 5,134 that were issued to portray some of the events that occurred during early part of Queen Elizabeths reign.

The total wight of silver is over 625g and each ingot has a complete description detailing the event it commemorates. The details are preserved in a specially designed folder which also includes all of the original documentation together with the letter of certificatipn of the Edition Limit.
