ABOUT THE MUSIC

Onda Choc was a group originally cared for by singer Ana Faria in late 1986, following the success of Ministars appearing that same year

The group consisted of boys and girls between 10 and 15 years old. The elements were recruited from the youth choir of the Young Singers of Lisbon. The rehearsals of the songs and the choreographies took place in a pavilion of Clube Futebol Benfica (also known as Fófó), and the record productions were in charge of Heduíno Gomes, the husband of the singer Ana Faria. The group recorded for CBS and usually recorded two. records per year.

In their repertoire, the group contained songs adapted from international successes and related the daily problems of young people as love affairs among other experiences. In 1987 the album "Onda Choc" was released.

Throughout their career, Onda Choc has sold over one million records.

Some of the group members managed to continue their artistic career, such as singer Pedro Camilo and actress Joana Seixas (who belonged to the group in the 1980s) and singers Micaela (who belonged to the group in the 1990s) and Marisa Liz (former singer of the band Donna Maria and current singer of the band Amor Electro).
