Substantial vintage bronze brooch by Kalevala Koru, Solki-46. Beautiful patina. Marked by company KK.

The brooch's prototype from the Roman Iron Age was found in Laihia, Finland.

Since 1930s, inspired by the finest examples of ancient Finnish, Scandinavian, and Karelian art found by archaeologists, Kalevala Koru crafted a large series of bronze and silver jewelry. Today they are considered classics of Nordic design.

Kalevala Koru is one of the most famous jewelry company in Nordics. In the 20th century the best designers created jewelry for the company, drawing inspiration from ancient art.

Size 6,5x6,5 cm. Excellent vintage condition.
