Cover and record are in VG+ condition.

This LP is probably the most famous album by The Blue Effect/Modrý Efekt. This band was one of the most important Czech prog rock/jazz-rock groups of the 70's and I consider this record to be their magnum opus. After starting as a song-oriented project, they embraced instrumental jazz-rock when most of rock music was banned for its subversive lyrics. It was recorded in 1973 and released at the end of 1974, in a limited edition for the export market. It was then reissued for the local market one year later, credited to "Modrý Efekt & Radim Hladík", which also became the title of every following edition. The album is filled with totally powerfull jazzy progressive rock, in between symphonic and fusion with tremendous instrumental work.Radim Hladik is certainly one of the era's finest guitarists, despite being stranded behind the Iron Curtain.Every song is composed and arranged by Hladík, who shows his musicianship with crazy, intricate jazz fusion solos. Hladík's guitar sounds impressive of course but the other guys do a fantastic job as well.Bass player Josef Kustka and drummer Vlado Cech jam at full speed, with funk gusto and syncopated times, while Lešek Semelka's organ and piano provide a symphonic prog touch.Jazz legend Jirí Stivín appears as a guest, playing wind instruments. In case you dig the jazzier side of progressive rock you should definitely give a try to this band.
This is the export version release of Modry Efekt & Radim Hladik album.
