Words That Burn is a hardcore punk act from Wisconsin, Usa thatfeatures Eric Plekan who also writes for the anarcho-punk magazineProfane Existence. A magazine that was described as “the largest ofthe anarchist Punk fanzines in North America.” The magazine dealtwith a very broad range of topics, including veganism, animal,women’s and minority rights, anti-fascist action and the punklifestyle. That mentallity is also shown on the Profits Of TheChrist EP from 2004. Sure the opening track 666-Pack is about theirlove for alcohol but then the singles goes into political andsociety things with tracks such as Profits Of The Christ, The ArtOf Theft, Nike Air Genocide. If youre into crust punk then this isfor you. It sounds more like what the label Profane Existence wasreleasing back in the 90s then an actual release from 2004. Itsheavy and strong with some thick guitar work. Quite a solid releasethat sounds like something between Amebix, Chaotic End, Nausea andForgotten Prophecy.
