In 1997 the Italian horror act Death SS released Do What ThouWilt, which was the first album since Heavy Demons 6 years earlier.The album was a concept album entirely inspired by the magical workof Aleister Crowley and the song Baron Samedi was released as thefirst single from the album. The track is based on the spirits ofthe dead, called Loa in the Haitian Vodoo tradition, that guardsthe cemeteries and controls the cross-roads between the earth andthe dead. Baron Samedi is one of those loas. The track hasremained on the bands live set list since its release and havebecome a fan favorite. Back in 1997 it was released as a 3-track cdsingle then in 2019 it was released as a two track vinyl single ina limited run of only 30 copies only offered to Cursed Covensubscribers. This 2021 vinyl re-issue features the 3-track from thecd single as well as a live version of the title track performed bythe current line-up of the band. The artwork is based on thelimited 7 artwork.
