There´s something in the water in Sweden. Something that makesthe Swedish bands have a sound, a vision and an approach that isunique, as well as interesting. Dead Kosmonaut is bursting out onthe scene, a fresh band and their debut album, but with acollective experience far beyond the initial appearance. "ExpectNothing", released March 24th 2017, and it impresses with itsquintessential metal sound, that nods respectfully to classic bandssuch as Dio/Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden and Candlemassbut has its own direction and vision. The album features, amongstothers, Fredrik Folkare (Unleashed, Firespawn), Per Broddesson (exWolverine, ex Year of the Goat), vocal sensation Pelle Gustafssonand chief songwriter Mattias Reinholdsson. Guest vocalist on thelast track "Grey Hole" is none other than Johan Langqvist, originalvocalist for Candlemass and responsible for vocal duties on theirnow classic debut album "Epicus Metallicus Doomicus". DeadKosmonaut has caused quite a stir in their native Sweden, withfeatures in both Close-Up Magazine as well as Sweden RockMagazine.
