This lovely dark purple color of Nuutajärvi glass in 1950-60s. Rare vase, designed by Saara Hopea.

Saara Hopea - gifted Finnish female designer and jeweler of the Modernist era in the latter half of the 20th century. She was known for her innovatiave glass art and tableware design in 1950-60s, which now is considered as a Modernist classic pieces.

This vase form is mentioned in the book: Saara Hopea-Untracht. Life and Work (Elämä ja työ).

Height 10,5 cm. Excellent vintage condition.
