Moissanite offer luxury and elegance at a fraction of the cost of diamonds, with various prices fitting for any budget. The most common confusion is due to the lack of knowledge of Moissanites is that people think it's a fake diamond.

A Moissanite is by no means fake it is another mineral in it's own standing.

Moissanite look like diamonds
Diamonds look like moissanites

Neither has been altered to look like the other.

So why are Moissanites so much cheaper?

It all has to do with the mining and production process.

Example.
A diamond that takes 6 months to process
A Moissanite of the same carats, cut, color grade etc might take 2-3 weeks.

The slow processing of diamonds are what makes them far more expensive, the price doesn't represent the quality.

Known for their durability and resistance to scratching and high temperatures, moissanites are usually a good choice suitable for daily wear. Such as wedding and engagement rings.

Moissanite is one of the toughest materials known in the world Diamond being the absolute toughest Moissanites are right up there rated 9.25/10 on the Mohs scale of Hardness.

Which is why all my Moissanites has a lifetime warranty. Because I already know it there's no possibility for it to be damaged. Not even if you tried.

Choosing moissanite is an ethical and eco-friendly option, providing conflict-free and sustainable sparkle without the ethical pitfalls of diamond mining.

Moissanite has a higher refractive index than a diamond which means more sparkle.

Moissanite is just as indestructible as Diamond. Neither can be damaged in any way outside of a lab with hundreds of thousands dollars worth of equipment.

Moissanite gemstone process is eco-friendly carbon free leaves no environmental footprint.
Diamond gemstone process requires a huge process with far more steps involved leaving a significant environmental footprint.

If you are still not convinced that Moissanite is the obvious choice. Just let me refer you to the price.. :)

What is a Moissanite?

Moissanite is naturally occurring silicon carbide and its various crystalline polymorphs.
It has the chemical formula SiC and is a rare mineral, discovered by the French chemist Henri Moissan in 1893.

Silicon carbide or moissanite is useful for commercial and industrial applications due to its hardness, optical properties and thermal conductivity.

The crystalline structure is held together by strong covalent bonding similar to diamonds, which allows moissanite to withstand high pressures up to 52.1 gigapascals.

Colors vary widely and are graded from the D to K range on the diamond color grading scale. Moissanite was introduced to the jewelry market as a diamond alternative in 1998 after Charles & Colvard was granted a patent to create and market lab-grown silicon carbide gemstones, becoming the first company to do so.

By 2018, all patents on the original process worldwide had expired. Charles & Colvard currently manufactures and distributes moissanite jewelry and loose gemstones under the Forever One, Forever Brilliant and Forever Classic brands.

On the Mohs scale of mineral hardness (with diamond as the upper extreme, 10), moissanite is rated 9.25.

As a diamond alternative, Moissanite has certain optical properties that exceed those of diamond. It is marketed as a lower priced alternative to diamond that does not involve the expensive mining methods used to extract natural diamonds.
Moissanite is birefringent (ie light sent through the material splits into separate beams depending on the polarization of the source), which can be easily seen. Because of its hardness, it can be used in high-pressure experiments, as a substitute for diamond.

Because large diamonds are usually too expensive to use, moissanite is more often used in large-volume experiments. l its thermal conductivity is similar to that of diamonds.
