Rare 1991double cd in thick jewelcase

In Augustof 1991 Guns N Roses performs two shows at The Globe Arena inStockholm, Sweden. Both nights were sold out. It took the band justfour hours to sell 13000 tickets for each night. People havere-written the history by thinking Grunge and Nirvana was thebiggest thing on the planet at the time. Sure Nevermind was thebirth of Grunge but the fact is that it was dwarfed by the releaseof Guns N Roses Use Your Illusion I & II and Metallica’s Blackalbum. These two bands were the biggest thing in pop music in 1991and Metallica’s Black album tour had started before Grunge explodedand Kurt Cobain managed to kill himself before the Black Album tourended. For Nirvana it was their career while for Metallica it wasjust a tour supporting one of their album. That should probablygive some perspective on how we judge history. The releases ofBlack Album and Use Your Illusions was enormous cultural eventswith midnight store openings, five-star reviews, multi platinumsales for both albums and both bands doing mammoth tour, even doinga tour together. So when Guns N Roses hit Sweden it was front-pagenews. A photographer from the Swedish newspaper, Expressen, tookphotographs (without permission) of the band while they were in theDaily News club and the bands bodyguards tried to stop thephotographer, but they failed. The “prohibited” photo made it ontoExpressen’s first page! Expressen gave the shows five out of five.This album was recorded during the second show, which took place onthe 17th of August and more controversy struck. When the show wassuppose to start at around nine o clock, Axl comes out of theelevator at the Sheraton Hotel, but instead of going to the carthat’s waiting for him, he goes and plays roulette for 1.5 hours.After that he goes back up to his room. Five minutes later he comesback down and goes to the car. On the way to the venue, he tellsthe driver to stop. There was a festival in Stockholm calledVattenfestivalen and Axl wanted to see the fireworks. The show dontstart until after eleven o’clock. During Knockin On Heaven’s Door,Axl says; Now on this one maybe you people that have been fallingasleep the whole fuckin show, on your feet up here could sing alongtoo…. If you’re bored, you should’ve saved your money and gone andseen the fireworks tonight. The shows in Stockholm was performedbefored the the albums had been released and most of the set wasmade up of songs the fans knew nothing about and there were manysurprises up their sleeves. Fans didn’t know what to think whenGuns N Roses performed tracks on piano etc. Of course all thesetracks became major success but back on that date it just seemedweird that this dangerous sleaze gang did things that seemed, atthe time, so far away from what the record buying public haddiscovered and grown found of with Appetite ForDestruction.
