What's fun to know
Like the fists of Chuck Norris and the teeth of Jaws - you need more stainless steel in your life. Some call them coin case but we call them by there real name MR. Precense, Mr. Wrist Precense and eveything is thanks to Dietrich Gruen (sounds like a potenial enemy to Bond, don't you think?)
On June 12, 1874 a 27 years old man, Dietrich Gruen, applied for a patent on an improved safety pinion, which was granted on December 22 the same year. In 1876 he formed the Columbus Watch Manufacturing Company.
In 1894 Dietrich Gruen decided to to start a new watch company with his son Fred Gruen - "D. Gruen and Son." These first Gruen watches was of very high quality and are beautifully made and thats the reason why their name spred widely.
In 1938, continuing the success of their VeriThin pocket watches from 1903, Gruen also launched a series of Veri-Thin wristwatches. Contemporary Curvex and Veri-Thin movements often are closely related, and can share many parts. By the 1940s, most Gruen wristwatches were either Veri-Thin or Curvex models. We got them both in our Rabbit hole.

What we want you to know
Dial: Factory original dial, and still with the original tipping hands. The dial shows signs from ageing and patina as seen in the photos. The steel in the hands is blue-ish in different lights.
Case: The 32mm (ex crown) case got some signs of wear but no remarkable dings or deep scratches.
Bracelet/Strap: The watch got a new brown leather strap.
Service history: The movement is serviced and under warranty under 6 months from date of purchase.
