Gray and his friends have discovered they are reborn elemental heroes. Now they must unite the other infamous Ronin in order to end a growing evil. Their first destination is the City of Sun, to find the next Ronin.

Yet as they reach the city, they discover the kingdom of light is dying. A plague threatens to destroy the sun-lit city and its citizens from the inside out, unless a magical sword is found. A sword only the Ronin can find.

At the same time, Gray is torn from his friends by a pact made in blood, formed with the mysterious, dark Faye who is as likely to kill him as kiss him. Darius promises to travel with Gray to help end the bloodpact, leaving Ayva and the other Ronin alone to find the sword and end the City of Sun's plague.

But a darkness follows... Sithel, half-man half-darkwalker, has an insidious, newfound power. He searches for the sword as well, hunting Ayva and her friends. All the while, a darkness rises in the world of Farhaven. The sword must be found, and the Ronin must unite, or the all will fall to ruin... It's up to Gray and his friends to show the true might of the Ronin, or all will fall.
