This book grew out of a collaboration between the Park Avenue Armory and Pirelli HangarBicocca for the exhibitions H {N)Y P N(Y} OSIS (curated by Hans Ulrich Obrist and Alex Poots, with Tom Eccles, 2015) and Hypothesis (curated by Andrea Lissoni, 2015). It offers an in-depth analysis of Parreno s work, presenting essays by Cyril Béghin, Molly Nesbit, Brian O Doherty, and Adam Thirlwell, and two interviews with the artist by Obrist and Lissoni. An appendix to the book also includes detailed entries on all the works in the two exhibitions.
