In the death metal scene there areoriginators and then there innovators, and its not a common thingto find a band who accomplishes both. Denmark’s Konkhra’s patented‘death n’ roll’ comes full circle here as they blend brutal,lead-heavy, skull crushing riffs with amazing solos, courtesy ofguitar god James Murphy. Also, as always with Anders, vocals aresublime, as he has a really original voice. And all this goeswithout mentioning the pummeling and driving rhythms of Kontos, andthe rumbling bass lines of Christensen. I seriously urge anyone ofsound musical taste to try these guys out, and ‘Weed Out The Weak’is a great start.
